Acknowledgments My AP lang journey has been a crazy rollercoaster. I started the year off by getting absolutely demolished by vocabulary quizzes and synthesis essays which really sunk me down to rock bottom. First and foremost, I want to thank Mrs. Valentino from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much for exposing me to literature that highlights other people's histories, cultures, and experiences; it has increased my empathy both as a reader and as a person. At first, I found it unexplainably difficult to connect with the materials in class but your input truly made it so much easier. Thank you for always surprising me with new facts that would quite literally drop my jaw and make me think more critically of the things that we don't always notice at first glance.
